Their leadership will be crucial in shaping team strategies and ensuring success throughout the season. The list of head coaches reflects the evolving dynamics of IPL franchises, focusing on skill development and tactical approaches.
The IPL 2025 is set to begin on 14th March.

IPL 2025: Head coaches of all 5 teams
1. Chennai Super Kings – Stephen Fleming
Under his leadership, CSK has reached nine finals, winning the tournament five times. Additionally, Fleming guided the now-defunct Rising Pune Supergiant to the IPL 2017 final.
2. Mumbai Indians – Mahela Jayawardene
Mahela Jayawardene will return as the head coach of Mumbai Indians (MI) for the IPL 2025 season. He previously led MI during their most successful period from 2017 to 2022, securing three titles.
Afterward, Jayawardene took on the role of the franchise’s global head of performance, with Mark Boucher succeeding him as head coach. Under Boucher, MI reached the playoffs once in two seasons but ended up at the bottom of the table last year.
3. Kolkata Knight Riders – Chandrakant Pandit
Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders will begin their fourth consecutive season with Chandrakant Pandit as head coach.
Pandit’s leadership guided KKR to victory in IPL 2024, following two seventh-place finishes in 2022 and 2023, securing their third title.
However, as they enter IPL 2025, KKR will be without last season’s mentor Gautam Gambhir, who has been replaced by Dwayne Bravo.
4. Sunrisers Hyderabad – Daniel Vettori
Under Vettori’s guidance, SRH finished as runners-up last season, delivering one of the most memorable campaigns in IPL history. Vettori has also previously coached Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
5. Royal Challengers Bengaluru – Andy Flower
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) head coach Daniel Vettori, also the Australia men’s bowling coach, will maintain his partnership with team captain Pat Cummins for IPL 2025.
Under Vettori’s guidance, SRH finished as runners-up last season, delivering one of the most memorable campaigns in IPL history. Vettori has also previously coached Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
